- Two members from each post are invited to attend the AMVETS Department of Illinois September School of Instruction. They will receive hotel accommodations, mileage, and per diem to attend this event. The School of Instruction will consist of State Headquarters’ staff providing classes on AMVETS information such as programs, public relations membership and VSO services. Following the School a picnic will take place at the State Headquarters. This is a great way to meet other AMVETS members and to learn more about Illinois AMVETS. Reminder To All AMVET Members:
All State Elected and Appointed Officers DO NOT need to turn in a report to State Headquarters to receive the usual mileage and per diem, however if attending you must contact State Headquarters and speak to Crystal Blakeman, Programs Director by August 27th, 2010 to receive payment and hotel accommodations.

Dr. Lipke is a retired VA psychologist with over 30 years experience working with combat veterans and family. He is the former director of the North Chicago VA PTSD program, and has taught and presented nationally and internationally on the psychological effects of trauma.
